The Western Historical Quarterly accepts original articles dealing with the North American West - expansion and colonization, indigenous histories, regional studies (including western Canada, northern Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii), and transnational, comparative and borderland histories. The Western Historical Quarterly Graduate Fellowship
Interested in applying for The Western Historical Quarterly Graduate Fellowship? The fellowship is offered in 2017 - 2018 for either MA or PhD students. In addition to excellent training in writing and editing, fellows will be immersed in the scholarship of the broadest possible North American West, including the newest work in the field.
